Macarn was established in 2015 in the small town of Skærbæk in southern Jutland. A married couple, Jan and Camilla Kruse Hansen, started to experiment with making organic fizzy drinks in their own kitchen. They had a clear concept. They wanted to make Danish organic fizzy drinks, rich in excellent ingredients and with nothing artificial. The Macarn brand was born.

In August 2019, Macarn was sold to the Naturfrisk Group, and Jan Hansen was appointed Sales and Marketing Director.

The Macarn products play an important role in the Naturfrisk Group, offering an inspiring range of organic mixers for customers and consumers both in Denmark and abroad.
